ABOUT US After being a ceramic hobbyist for over 25 years, the passion felt in creating from clay consumed me. So in 1991 the decision was made to change careers and follow this passion.  After certification classes and mentoring by some very gifted ceramic artists, Imaginative Design by Sharon was born.   We take great pride in handling each piece with much care. Though we pour from popular molds, we enjoy embellishing and changing the piece once it is out of the mold. All pieces are hand made, never mass produced. For this reason we must ask for patience in completing your order. In most cases a (3) week minimum is required for production. Special order pieces may take longer.   Each piece is poured using the best of "slip" (liquid clay), air dried, hand cleaned and fired. The finish will depend on the piece, hand painting of either acrylic ceramic paints or underglazes and glazes applied. A second firing for glazed pieces. Some will require a third firing for gold, mother of pearl or decal finish.  Dinnerware is finished with a food safe glaze and complies with FDA safety requirements for lead and cadmium release and can be used on surfaces that come in contact with food.    We are sure you will be happy with the fine quality of each of our pieces and enjoy them for many years to come.  Take pride in the fact that all items are "American Made."     Looking forward to doing business with you....   Sharon and staff
